Dr. Dennis White is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Alliant Health Solutions, a $30 million nonprofit family of companies helping governmental agencies ensure that healthcare quality is improved and tax dollars are used appropriately in the administration of public sector health care programs.
With more than 25 years of financial, health care and information technology experience, Dr. White has spent the last 20 years working with state and federal government contracts. He has extensive experience in operational and organizational development, as well as the implementation of large-scale technology projects. Under his leadership, Alliant has expanded operations throughout the south, resulting in the opening of offices in Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, and South Carolina.
The company is a 2014 recipient of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s highly coveted “Best Places to Work” award and is one of less than 10 companies in the Atlanta area to receive this recognition at least five times out of the past six years. Dr. White's passion for service to the community has facilitated an organizational commitment to give 10 percent of the company’s net proceeds to fund initiatives of other nonprofit organizations to make health care better. He has also spearheaded tremendous employee involvement with Open Hand in Atlanta, which has presented Alliant with its “Community Spirit Award” on multiple occasions.
Currently, Dr. White serves as Chairman of the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN), a statewide collaborative serving to improve the quality and efficiency of the state’s health care by supporting and connecting local health data sharing communities. A 2012 graduate of Leadership Atlanta, he is also an advisory board member for the Institute of Health Administration for the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, Open Hand and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He previously served as a board member of the American Health Quality Association (AHQA), the trade association serving all quality improvement organizations and other professionals working to improve health care quality and patient safety throughout the United States and its territories.
Dr. White is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina with a doctorate in Healthcare Administration. He is also a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master of Science degree in Management of Information Technology and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Christian Brothers University in Memphis.
